Bagdad Cafe

A fave Route 66 stop with European tourists, grizzled Bagdad Cafe was the main filming location of German director Percy Adlon's eponymous 1987 cult flick starring CCH Pounder and Jack Palance. The interior is chockablock with posters, movie stills and memorabilia while outside the old water tower and Airstream trailer are slowly rusting away. There's food but don't bother.

It's especially popular with Germans where the movie was a big hit.
