Around 2000 animals representing 300 species of African wildlife – including Sumatran tigers, western lowland gorillas and cotton-top tamarin monkeys – live here in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the wildest Disney theme park of all. Half theme park, half zoo, it’s also the greenest and calmest.

The park’s key attraction, Kilimanjaro Safaris, whisks guests away in an open-sided safari vehicle over savannas, rivers and rocky hills to spot African animals. Pandora – The World of Avatar brings James Cameron’s 2009 film Avatar to life with its mystical, immense, yet intricate landscapes. The Expedition Everest train summits the tallest (artificial) mountain in the world, Forbidden Mountain, where a frightening yeti lurks. In the center of Animal Kingdom is the massive Tree of Life, reminding us that we all play a role in the mystical circle of life.
