Jönköpings Läns Museum

Småland

Visiting and permanent exhibitions cover local history and contemporary culture, but the best reason for coming here is to see the haunting fantasy works of artist John Bauer (1882–1918). In his short life, the local artist produced an illuminating and haunting body of work, predominantly illustrations, inspired by his time in the forests around Jönköping and Lake Vänern.
