You can walk to the summit of Monte Urgull (123m), topped by the low castle walls of the Castillo de la Mota and a grand statue of Christ, by taking a path from Plaza de Zuloaga, the steps behind Basílica de Santa María del Coro or from the aquarium. The views are breathtaking and the shady woodland on the way up is a peaceful retreat from the city.
