Langa Mosaic Plinths

Cape Town

Each side of these colourful, mosaic-decorated plinths has a different theme, related to township history. One is the only memorial to the Mendi, a troop ship that sank in the English Channel in 1917, drowning 607 members of the South African Native Labour Corps.
