Ponta do Pargo

Madeira's most westerly point is Ponta do Pargo (Red Snapper Point). Beyond the village of the same name you can drive all the way to the end of the road where there's a lighthouse housing an exhibition on Madeiran and Portuguese faróis (lighthouses). But the real reason to come here is for the spectacular Atlantic vistas, especially good at sundown.
