Curving up from Piazza Barberini to Villa Borghese, Via Vittorio Veneto is the spiritual home of la dolce vita – the Rome of the swinging 1950s and '60s that was immortalized in director Federico Fellini's eponymous film. The street is lined with luxury hotels, and there are rumors of its revival, notably with at the Intercontinental offering good views and live music daily from 5pm. The return of the fashionistas, however, is not yet evident.
