Teatro Argentina

Founded in 1732, Rome’s top theater is one of three managed by the Teatro di Roma, along with the Teatro India and Teatro di Villa Torlonia. Rossini’s Barber of Seville premiered here in 1816, and these days it stages a wide-ranging program of classic and contemporary drama (mostly in Italian), plus dance and classical music.
