Dive deep into Icelandic photography at the unassuming Reykjavík Museum of Photography (borgarsogusafn.is; adult/child 1350kr/free), which shares a building with the city library and the city archives. The museum’s collection, on the 6th floor, includes more than six million photographs dating as far back as 1860, with work from professional photographers as well as amateurs. It goes beyond most and features industrial and commercial photography in addition to press photographs and portraits. There are also some personal photo collections here.
