This lovely, remote scoop of beach, 2.5 miles north of Aberdaron, has oddly shaped sand that squeaks when you walk on it, giving it its English name, Whistling Sands. From here it's a 2-mile coastal walk southwest via the twin headlands of Dinas Bach and Dinas Fawr to the cove of Porth Orion.
