Monpazier’s arcaded market square is surrounded by an ochre-hued collection of stone houses that reflect centuries of building and rebuilding. In the southwestern corner is a timber-framed old market hall with a trio of original metal grain measures.
Thursday is market day, as it has been since the Middle Ages.
