Opened in 2017, this architecturally stunning visitor center is perched above the dam on the River Tummel, and houses an exhibition (closed in 2020) that details the history of hydroelectricity in Scotland, alongside the life cycle of Atlantic salmon (all hydro stations need a fish ladder to allow salmon to migrate upstream past the dams).
The center's excellent Salmon Leap Cafe serves sandwiches, pizzas and cakes (mains £6 to £9), with tables overlooking the river.
