Piazza Trilussa

The pedestrian entryway to Trastevere. The star attraction, visible from the other bank of the Tiber, is Fontana di Ponte Sisto, a large and elegant fountain whose steps are perfect for sunning, snoozing, waiting to meet someone or just people-watching. Then pay a quick visit to the statue in the northern corner of the square, representing the Roman poet Carlo Alberto Salustri, known as Trilussa. On some weekends, Piazza Trilussa hosts a small art market.
