Nemuro is a fishing port in far eastern Hokkaidō (Japan's northern island), and visiting the original kaiten-zushi (conveyor-belt sushi restaurant) there earns you some serious bragging points. But really, you can just go to this convenient branch inside the mall, KITTE. The trade-off is that there's usually a (long) queue. Take a number and spend the wait time at Intermediatheque.
