The excellent archaeological museum of Museo Didáctico Antonini (museoantonini.org; S20) is a mesmerizing introduction to the life and times of the Nazca culture that once dominated this area. The civilization's ceramics have a starring role in the exhibits, which also contain a valuable collection of ceramic pan flutes and a scale model of the Lines. You can get a fascinating overview of both the Nazca culture and the region's sights here. Perhaps the best sight is the well-preserved ancient aqueduct running through the garden.
Though the exhibit labels are in Spanish, the front desk lends foreign-language translation booklets for you to carry around. Follow Bolognesi east out of Nazca for 1km or take a taxi (S3) to arrive.
