At the far southwestern edge of the archipelago, the tiny island of Dos Mosquises Sur is home to a Marine Biological Station run by the Fundación Científica Los Roques. The station, which can be visited, has breeding tanks where turtles and other endangered species are raised before being released around the archipelago. There's also a small museum here displaying archeological discoveries from the area.
