Main Haus Tambaran

Kanganaman is famous for the oldest haus tambaran on the Sepik. Declared a building of national cultural importance, it has been renovated with help from the National Museum. It is a huge, rather open building with enormous carved posts, soaring river birds atop its roof and the spirit chair in the centre of the building.
