Macallan is famous for making excellent sherry-casked malt whiskies. The distillery enjoys a lovely location 1 mile west of Craigellachie and is housed in a spectacular turf-roofed visitor centre made from engineered timber that also contains an exhibition, restaurant, whisky bar and gift boutique. The 2½-hour 'Distillery Experience' tour must be prebooked.
