Going strong since 1968, Legoland is the original, and some might say the best of the genre, mixing retro appeal, Lego themes and interactive experiences with the latest tech. It's more of a family place than the go to for stomach-flipping roller-coasters, though Polar-X-Plorer and Ice Pilots School supply faster thrills for bigger kids.
Miniland
Miniland is comprised of 20 million plastic Lego blocks snapped together to create whimsical, knee-high towns and cities, including the 5.5m Burj Khalifa. If you haven't time to visit them in person, at Miniland you can take a whistle-stop tour of Skagen, Ribe, Copenhagen’s iconic Nyhavn waterfront and various royal Danish palaces, all rendered in Lego bricks (with obsessive attention to detail) at a scale of 1:20 to 1:40.
Younger Kids
Duplo Land is for toddlers, and has flat rides including a small train ride, Duplo planes, mini Ferris wheel LEGONDOL, and Duplo playhouses, plus the new-in-2024 Peppa Pig Playground and giant Benny's Playship. Atlantis by Sea-life is a walk-through aquarium that's also great fun.
Family Attractions
Legotop, a 36m-high observation tower, offers views across the whole park. At SEAT Traffic School (Driving School) kids aged 6 to 13 can try driving (extra charge). Self-build Lego activities include building boats to race. In the Arctic Basecamp, prepare for a polar expedition by building your own vehicles. Western-themed Legoredo has a fun haunted-house-style attraction with drop towers. Pirateland has Pirate Splash Battle and Pirate Boats. Dragen is a family-friendly roller-coaster at the Knight's Kingdom. X-treme Racers is not as extreme as the name suggests. In Ninjago Dark Ride you use hand movements to eliminate bad guys. Take that!
