Lagg Distillery

This new distillery has a spectacular coastal setting and makes an appealing stop along the road around the island. The squat stills produce a modern, robust, peaty whisky that is a good contrast to the more delicate malt from the sibling distillery in Lochranza. Tours run on the hour and tastings are available. A cafe does sandwiches and comfort food like burritos and poutine, while upstairs is a bistro.
