Around 10 times a year, carriages pulled by a 1932 steam engine take the route between Limoges and Eymoutiers. Much shorter Eymoutiers–Châteauneuf–Bujaleuf rides are also possible. Reservations are essential.
If you can't get tickets for the steam ride, you can still experience the same viaducts, tunnels and rustic scenery from Limoges–Ussel trains, including two daily Paris–Clermont services (weekdays only).
