Bar Joan

A locally popular stop inside the Mercat de Santa Caterina, with tall stools at the counter and a separate dining room, old-school Bar Joan is known especially for its arròs negre (cuttlefish-ink rice) on Tuesdays and paella on Thursdays. It’s a simple, friendly and good-value spot for home-cooked tapas or the excellent-value menú del dia.
