Accademia Filarmonica Romana

The academy was founded in 1821 and its members have included Rossini, Donizetti and Verdi. It still attracts star performers, and its varied program concentrates on classical and chamber music, but also includes opera, ballet and jazz. Performances are held at various locations, including the 200-seat Sala Casella at the academy's headquarters on Via Flaminia and at the Teatro Olimpico.
