General Safed Exhibition

Opened in 1952, this group gallery – housed in the desanctified, Ottoman-era Market Mosque – displays, sells and ships works by about 50 painters and eight sculptors, including some very talented immigrants from the former Soviet Union. If you find yourself intrigued by a particular artist's work, ask for directions to their studio.
