Bloomsday

Literature in Dublin

Every 16 June a bunch of oddballs wander around the city dressed in Edwardian gear, talking nonsense in dramatic tones. They're not mad – at least not clinically – they're only Bloomsdayers committed to commemorating James Joyce's epic novel Ulysses through readings, performances and recreated meals, including Leopold Bloom's famous breakfast of kidneys with a 'fine tang of faintly scented urine'. Yummy.
