National Zoological Gardens

Delhi

Founded in 1952, this is a vast green space in the city, covering 86 hectares. Kept in reasonable condition (relatively speaking) are lions, tigers, elephants, hippos, rhinos, spectacular birds and monkeys. You can hire battery-operated vehicles to get around.
