Agrasen ki Baoli

Agrasen ki Baoli step-well on Hailey Road. New Delhi, India.

The atmospheric 14th-century Agrasen ki Baoli is one of Delhi's most beautiful baolis. It was once set in the countryside, till the city grew up around it; 103 steps descend to the bottom, flanked by arched niches that are frequented by pigeons. This free attraction is a great place for a break among the office towers southeast of Connaught Place and has garnered more attention since it was used as a shelter by Aamir Khan's alien character in the 2015 movie PK. After visiting the baoli, turn right and walk for about two minutes to see a small dhobi ghat filled with clothes and bed linens (the best views are from the right of the adjacent Shiva temple).
