Trabi Museum

Historic Mitte

If you were lucky enough to own a car in East Germany, it would most likely have been a Trabant (Trabi in short), a tinny two-stroker whose name (‘satellite’ in English) was inspired by the launch of the Soviet Sputnik in 1956. This small exhibit displays a wide variety of Trabis, including rare wooden and racing versions as well as a campervan model.
