The foundations of Cambridge's sublime university church date from 1010, but it burnt to the ground in the 1290s, so most of what you can see today comes from a 1351 reconstruction and a grand Gothic remodeling from 1478 to 1519. The melody of its chiming clock was copied for the chimes of Big Ben in London.
