In the summer months this peak (2142m) can be accessed either by cable car or the Goldeckstrasse toll road (€13; free with the Kärnten Card). The road stops 260m short of the summit. In winter, Goldeck is popular for skiing. The cable car doesn’t operate from mid-April to mid-June or from mid-September to mid-December.
