Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden

Eyre Peninsula & the West Coast

Just north of town, the excellent (and free!) botanic garden has 250 hectares of sandhills, clay flats and desert fauna and flora (ever seen a Sturt's desert pea?). Explore on your own – established walking trails run from 500m to 4.5km – or take a guided tour (10am Monday to Friday). There's a cafe here too.
