Corona Heights Park

For romantic sunsets with panoramic views from the Castro to the Bay, scramble up the red rocks of 520ft-high Corona Heights. Face southeast as the sun sets, and watch rainbow lights twinkle welcomes across the Castro. Take tiny Beaver St uphill to the steps through the bushes, then head right up the trail, past tennis courts and rock climbers. For an easier hike, enter via Roosevelt Way. Once afternoon fog blows in, you'll be glad you brought a jacket.
