Museum of Life & Science

The Triangle

There’s something to appeal to every child at Durham’s Museum of Life & Science, 3 miles north of downtown. Its main building, stuffed with everything from live snakes to a lunar lander, serves as an appetizer for treats such as the sailing lake, dinosaur-dotted woodland trail, and bear and butterfly enclosures, which spread across its gardens. An open train tours the whole ensemble, through the woods ($5).
