ItineraryDay 1: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park – visit Nyero rock paintings en-route Stop At: Kidepo Valley National Park, Kitgum, Northern RegionYour wild safari begins when you set off for the remote north-eastern region – the location of Kidepo Valley National Park. You will visit the ancient Nyero rock paintings en-route. Once you arrive at the park, you will check in at a lodge of your choice. You will spot several wildlife including; elephants, jackals, bushbucks, duikers, bush pigs, buffaloes, ostriches, leopards, and lions which are normally seen sitting on the valley’s massive rocks. Day 1: On your arrival, meet your guide at Entebbe International Airport who will transfer you to Papyrus Guesthouse  for your accommodation.Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkAfter an early breakfast and briefing, fly to Kisoro in southern Uganda. During the short flight you will be able to see Uganda's diversity. Be picked up from the airstrip and driven up to Nkuringo. After lunch, there will be a community walk with one of our guides from the camp. Overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge.Day 3: Gorilla TrekkingTransfer to the visitor’s reception to track a Nkuringo Gorilla group in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park after you’ve been briefed at 8:00am. Once you have found the gorillas, you will be able to spend an hour with them observing. Your time in the forest cannot be pre-determined as every day is different from the previous. Return to your vehicle and proceed directly back to the lodge.Day 4: Kisoro - EntebbeYou will be driven back to Kisoro for your flight back to Entebbe. Arriving at Entebbe International Airport, there will be a connecting flight to Kidepo to wait for. The flight takes approximately 2.5-hours to Kidepo. Be picked up from the airstrip and dropped off at Apoka Lodge for check-in. There will be time to relax and have lunch. After, there will be an evening game drive through Kidepo. Overnight at the Apoka lodge.Day 5: Kidepo Valley National ParkAfter an early morning breakfast, set off for a 2-3 hour game drive to Kidepo Valley National Park in search of lions, cheetahs and leopards. Return to the lodge to enjoy the mid-morning with an open swimming pool within sight of the wildlife from the lodge. The lodge offers a viewing platform for wildlife and often at night you will hear the lions and hyenas. Lunch will be served following an evening game drive. Overnight at Apoka lodge.Day 6: Kidepo Valley Park – Cultural visitKidepo is a wildlife bonanza where you can either conduct a morning nature walk accompanied by a ranger escort or take another game drive. In the afternoon, visit the nearby village of Karamojong. The Karamojongs are related to the Masai in Kenya and were mostly nomadic pastoralists. They have been recently been introduced to farming and agriculture. Learn more about the culture and their dance. Overnight at Apoka Lodge.Day 7: Morning Game DriveAfter the morning activities and lunch, you will be transferred to Entebbe. You will be at the Papyrus Guesthouse for day use. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your evening flight.

Pickup from Kampala and travel to Kidepo Valley National ParkYou will start the drive to Kidepo with lunch en route at Gulu town Continue to drive past Kitgum town and be driven through Karamojaland up to Kdepo Vaelly National park. The park offers breathtaking Savannah landscapes, which end in rugged horizon. A huge latitudinal range and correspondingly wide climatic conditions have evolved an extremely diverse flora. Unique birds are found here like the Ostrich, kori bustard and secretary with 463 bird species. overnight at Apoka Rest Camp.Day 2: Two game drivesMorning after breakfast do a game drive. You will most likely be able to view those animals that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes and the Uganda Kobs. The splendid Kidepo river valley dominated by borassus palm forest, startling savannah landscape and the stunning view of the Narus valley situated in the southwest of the park. To the north of Sudan at the Lotukei Mountains and the Morongole range which marks the southern boundary of the park and ending the trail at the Kanangorok hot spring with a view of a number of faunas that can be seen wandering around like the tall Ostrich. After will be driven back to Park bandas for lunch and restingAfter lunch will take on another game drive in the evening exploring different wildlife in the area. Seeing herds of buffaloes, elephants and a variety of birds like ostrich herons, OR or visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs. Return to Apoka Rest Camp for dinner and overnight.Day 3: Another game drive in a different areaMorning and evening game drive in the park exploring different wildlife in the area. The game drive will give you a chance for bird watching having a chance to see some of the rear bird and animal species like the cheetah and hunting dog, bat fox and stripped hyena, gazelles, zebras, Rothschild’s giraffes, antelope species include roan antelope, bush buck, bohor reed buck Jackson's hartebeest, Buffaloes, Elands, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, Elephants and the jackal, From here you will understand by the end of the tour why their pride makes them slow to adapt to the dynamic world and their love for cattle is comparable to the better known Masai of Kenya and Tanzania. Along the way to Kampala you will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to make a walk to see the rhinos. Hike Mount Morungole and visit the Ik tribe of Northern UgandaMount Morungole (also known as Ikland) is located in the absolute northern hills of Karamoja.
