Isla Mata la Gata & Isla Caracoles

Ponce & South Coast

These two mangrove cays lie less than half a mile offshore and are worth a visit. The sandy strands on the seaside are really the only places in La Parguera to spend a traditional day at the beach, but both are overused and the sand is not spectacular. You can come here with a rental boat or kayak, or with the boat operators (US$10 per person for a round-trip) at the Town Dock.
