Westertoren

The 85m-high bell tower of the Westerkerk is famously topped by the blue imperial crown that Habsburg emperor Maximilian I bestowed on the city for its coat of arms in 1489. Following renovations expected to be completed in 2024, it will resume panoramic climbs to the top of the tower as well as carillon concerts ringing out around the neighborhood.
