The museum of the Dutch Resistance brings the horror of German occupation in WWII vividly alive, using personal stories, letters, artifacts, films and photographs to illuminate local resistance to the Nazis. Its modernised permanent exhibition, The Netherlands in WWII, chronicles armed resistance, people who helped those in hiding, forged documents, underground news services and general strikes. The excellent Verzetsmuseum Junior puts the war into context for kids through the eyes of four Dutch children. Compelling temporary exhibitions regularly take place.
