Texas Discovery Gardens

The Texas Discovery Gardens (txdg.org) have beautifully landscaped spaces, snake- and lizard-filled terrariums and a two-story tropical conservatory, where shimmering butterflies from around the world wing past. Don’t miss the Emergence Chamber on the lower level, where you can get a close-up look at butterfly chrysalises and moth cocoons – perhaps even seeing a creature emerge. On weekends, check out the model trains looping around 1000ft of tracks in the gardens.
