For an eagle-eye view of the coast and hinterland, zip up to the observation deck SkyPoint (skypoint.com.au; weekday adult/child $33/25, weekend adult/child $41/33) near the top of the 322m-high Q1 building in Surfers Paradise. Save a few bucks by visiting on a weekday; you’ll still need to pay the entry fee to visit the bistro and bar. You can also tackle the SkyPoint Climb ($99) up the spire to a height of 270m. Climbers need to be at least 12 years of age.
