Roman Theatre

This Roman-era theater has been almost totally – and very unsympathetically – reconstructed, so unfortunately it's one of Carthage's most disappointing sites. It's used as the main venue for the annual International Festival of Carthage. The theater is thought to have originally accommodated 5000 spectators.
