Housed in a converted whiskey warehouse, the Oh Yeah Music Center (ohyeahbelfast.com, closed Sunday) is a social enterprise that provides rehearsal spaces for musicians as well as being home to an exhibition on Northern Ireland's music history. The free Northern Ireland Music Exhibition takes around 20 minutes to view and includes memorabilia related to punk bands the Undertones and Stiff Little Fingers, and items from Terri Hooley's Good Vibrations record store.
Look out for a vintage sign from Cyprus Avenue, the east Belfast street made famous by Van Morrison. Another prized exhibit is the Fender guitar used by Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody to write the hit "Chasing Cars". Conversations between Snow Patrol and members of the Belfast music industry were the impetus for the launch of the Oh Yeah Music Centre project in 2005.
