Museo Fallero

At each Fallas festival, just one of the thousands of ninots, the figurines that pose around the base of each falla (huge sculptural ensembles of papier mâché, wood, polystyrene and other materials), is saved from the flames by popular vote. Those reprieved over the years are displayed here. It's fascinating to observe their evolution since the 1930s, and see the comical, grotesque, sometimes moving figures up close. Also on view are portraits of the falleras mayores, each year's "queen of Las Fallas."
