Musée de l'Avallonnais

Founded in 1862, this wonderful small museum displays a series of expressionist watercolours by Georges Rouault (1871–1958) and an excellent art deco silver collection by renowned designer and jeweler Jean Després (1889–1980). Upstairs, don't miss the permanent exhibition on the Southeast Asian Yao people.
