In 2021, Arles’ already-bulging cultural landscape welcomed this cutting-edge gallery and arts center, rising inexorably at a defunct railway depot in the city’s southeastern quarter. Funded by the Swiss-based Luma Foundation and designed by Frank Gehry, the cultural center is host to presentations, exhibitions and artists’ residences.
