Kongens Have

The magnificently manicured Kongens Have (King’s Gardens) is the oldest park in the city. Once Christian IV’s vegetable garden, today it’s the picture of elegance, crisscrossed by romantic paths and planted in fragrant roses. It faces the fairy-tale turrets and gables of the 1633 Dutch Renaissance–style Rosenborg Slot. Fifteen small stone pavilions ring the park, specifically reserved for independent/creative boutiques, as well as several greenery-enveloped cafes.
