Jhandewalan Hanuman Temple

New Delhi, India. Entrance to Hanuman temple in Jhandewalan, home to the highest Hanuman statue in India.

This temple is not to be missed (it's actually hard to miss) if you're in Karol Bagh. The 34m-tall Hanuman statue that soars above both the roads and the raised metro line presides over a ramshackle collection of rooms for worship. In the lower floor, accessed through a demon's mouth, a fake cave is filled with beautifully dressed deities, some drinking the blood of Kali as it spurts from her beheaded neck. The closest metro station is Jhandewalan, one stop from Paharganj's RK Ashram Marg Station.
