Jardín de Monforte

The Neoclassical-style ornamental Monforte gardens were created from a vegetable garden by Sebastián Monleón for the Marqués de San Juan in the mid-19th century. It's a peaceful break from the city bustle, with marble statues, sculpted hedges, a goldfish-speckled pond and walkways shaded by canopies of flowering vines – welcome relief from summer heat. The small but grand entrance pavilion and its picturesque backdrop make this a popular spot for weddings.
