Occupying an entire plaza southwest of the center, this splendid baroque fountain was completed in 1803. Water flows through 139 pipes, many sprouting from carved masks, to fill a three-tiered basin centered on a statue of Neptune and Amphitrite on a horse-drawn carriage.
If you take the stairs to the left of the Fuente de la Virgen de la Salud, a second fountain on the plaza, it takes about 10 minutes to walk up to the Ermita del Calvario (Calvary Chapel), which offers scenic views of the town and surrounding countryside.
