Across the highway from Chalchuapa town center and the Tazumal site sits Casa Blanca, home to some Preclassic Maya ruins set in attractive woodland. An excellent museum with detailed explanations in English and the pleasant, peaceful surroundings make this site well worth your while. There's also an indigo workshop where you can dye your own fabrics.
