It’s not often that you can walk from Europe to North America, but in this corner of Iceland it’s easy to do – and in just a few minutes. The Bridge Between Two Continents is a 15m footbridge across the sandy rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. The bridge, named Leif the Lucky Bridge after Icelandic explorer Leif Erikson, is surrounded by lava fields and small craters.
